The 54th Field Artillery Brigade is a former U.S. Army unit that was constituted in 1917, served in World War I and World War II, and had its lineage and heritage transferred to the 329th Regional Support Group of the Virginia Army National Guard in 2008, which now wears the unit’s insignia. The brigade’s distinctive patch incorporates the scarlet and yellow colors of Field Artillery and a vertical bar to symbolize preparedness. Its motto, “To The Guns,” reflects its purpose and readiness.
