The “X 300” likely refers to the 300th Military Police Company, which was part of the 3rd Armored Division during World War II. The 3rd Armored Division, nicknamed “Spearhead,” was activated in 1941 and landed in Normandy in June 1944, just weeks after D-Day. It was known for its rapid advance through France and into Germany, becoming the first US division to enter Belgium and reaching the German border in September. The division played a key role in the Battle of the Bulge and captured Cologne in March 1945.
