The Combat Action Badge
Established in 2005, the CAB recognizes Army soldiers who personally engage — or are engaged by — the enemy during combat operations. Whether serving as infantry, military police, engineers, or logistics personnel, CAB recipients have all shared the defining experience of combat: IEDs, ambushes, firefights, and direct attacks.
