The 15th Armored Division was a planned U.S. Army unit during World War II, but it was never activated or deployed. Though it was assigned a Shoulder Sleeve Insignia (SSI) following the standard armored triangle design—featuring red, yellow, and blue with a black cannon, tank tread, and lightning bolt—the division remained a “phantom division” created for organizational planning and has no combat history.
