The 327th Field Artillery Battalion (327th FA) was part of the U.S. Army’s 84th Infantry Division during World War II, with the battalion arriving in December 1944 and fighting in the Battle of the Bulge and the push into Germany. While the 327th FA itself is no longer an active unit, the 327th Infantry Regiment, which was also part of the 84th Division in WWI and the 101st Airborne in WWII, continues its legacy in the form of the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, known as the “Bulldogs” and “No Slack,” and is part of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
