The hospital handled patients from various sources, including U.S. soldiers, Vietnamese civilians, and prisoners, and provided comprehensive medical care through various clinics. Its role included managing vascular injuries in combat, and soldiers and medics documented their experiences, with memories and accounts of life at the hospital available in books and online forums, offering insight into the daily challenges and routines within the combat zone.
