The 515th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR) was an airborne unit of the United States Army that served during World War II. Known by the nickname “Jumping Wolves,” the regiment was ultimately assigned to the 13th Airborne Division. The unit’s soldiers trained for combat jumps in both the European and Pacific theaters but saw no combat before the war ended.
